Substance Use Insights: Prevention In Practice- LMHA SUD Services - 36069

Participants will hear from experts with the Local Mental Health Authority’s Substance Use Disorder Services to learn about available youth support programs and current substance use trends among children and adolescents. The session will also provide strategies for engaging in productive, non-judgmental conversations with students and parents about substance use.

By the end of the session, campus and district support staff will be able to identify Substance Use Disorder Services available through the Local Mental Health Authority across the Region 11 ESC service area and apply effective communication strategies for addressing substance use concerns with students and families.
