EB Campus Leader Academy Session 3: T-TESS Appraiser Look-Fors - 35511
This four-part academy series is designed specifically for campus administrators seeking to expand their leadership toolkit and build capacity in emergent bilingual education. The academy provides a comprehensive overview of key topics essential to enhancing Bilingual and ESL programs. Each session offers a focused opportunity to deepen understanding and develop skills critical to leading and improving emergent bilingual initiatives.
Session 3: T-TESS Appraiser Look-Fors for Emergent Bilingual Instruction**
In this third session, campus administrators will focus on identifying key instructional practices that support Emergent Bilingual (EB) students within the T-TESS framework. Participants will learn how to recognize and document effective language-rich strategies aligned with the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS), CBLI, and the district’s Bilingual/ESL program model. This session will equip appraisers with tools to conduct focused walkthroughs and evaluations, provide targeted feedback to teachers, and promote instructional practices that accelerate both language development and academic achievement for EB students. Administrators will leave with a stronger understanding of what high-quality EB instruction looks like and how to support continuous improvement in classroom implementation.
Participants are expected to attend all four sessions to fully benefit from the academy experience.
