SLP Statewide Webinar #6: Designing Effective & Ethical Evaluation for Students Who Speak Languages in Addition to English - 33729

This session will cover strategies for collecting and interpreting data when evaluating students who speak languages in addition to English. SLPs will learn strategies for what to do before, during, and after the eval. Among the topics covered, we will discuss testing with therapy in mind so evaluation data can inform both the disability and linguistic supports needed during intervention. This session will satisfy the Ethics requirements for the Texas state license and for ASHA certification maintenance. This session will also satisfy ASHA’s DEI requirements for maintenance of certificate of clinical competence. This session is aligned with the evaluation components of the TEA-Required Self-Assessment and TEA Identified Areas of Non-Compliance.
