MTSS and Student Mental Health Virtual - 33202

The Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework can be considered the umbrella for other support systems, such as data-based individualization (DBI), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), response to intervention (RtI), and positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS). An effective MTSS framework considers the variability of learners, supports in place, and equal access to the general curriculum. Through MTSS, schools identify students needing additional support and provide them with evidence-based interventions to reduce academic and behavioral gaps. This series will lead participants through selected TIER Network pathways for Student Mental Health. Sessions include: Supporting Student Mental Health within MTSS, Social and Personal Competencies, Restorative Practices, and Trauma Sensitive Schools. These sessions align with the FAPE and Intervention component(s) of the TEA-required self-assessment. Sessions will be delivered via ZOOM with follow-up through discussion and/or collaboration opportunities.
