Ready Bodies, Learning Minds is a two-day program emphasizing the powerful and essential connection between motor and sensory development, and the ability to perform the many tasks necessary for independence, behavioral control, and academic achievement.
This session is for teachers of students with visual impairments, certified orientation and mobility specialists, and staff that work with students with visual impairments.

After this workshop, participants will be able to: Identify the sensory-motor systems and their importance, including visual, auditory, tactile, proprioceptive, and vestibular systems. Summarize intrinsic movement and the theories of the effect on the school aged child. Determine the connection between sensory-motor learning, motor planning and the skills crucial to academic success.
