This learning session will familiarize participants with the key tenets of how Significant Disproportionality is identified and subsequently monitored and addressed in Texas. It begins with an overview of the Significant Disproportionality regulations and its methodology before exploring SD data calculations, reporting, and helpful resources.
This session is aligned with 16. Disproportionality- Behavior and 17. Disproportionality- Identification and Placement component(s) of the TEA-required self-assessment and SPP Indicator(s) 9. Disproportionate Representation Special Education and 10. Disproportionate Representation Disability Category.
**This is REQUIRED TRAINING for LEAs assigned an SD YEAR 3 designation. All LEAs are welcome to attend.
