Building Biliteracy through Cross-Linguistic Connections - 31143
Learning to read and write in a second language builds from the first language and involves making connections and exploring the characteristics of both languages. This concept, referred to as cross-linguistic transfer, facilitates bilingualism and biliteracy in bilingual education. In this session, you will learn and obtain practical tools to implement different classroom strategies that promote metalinguistic awareness between English and Spanish.
