Statewide Speech-Language Pathology Webinar #3: Beyond Requesting - Using AAC throughout the Day - 29641

This session will be a fun, interactive, and face-paced learning experience on utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). In this session, participants will discuss how to take the tried-and-true, relevant goals of: expanding MLU, using a variety of communication intents, demonstrating an understanding and use of age-appropriate vocabulary, asking "why" questions, and demonstrating phonological awareness from a goal to reality. Participants will discuss evidence-based practices, current research, service delivery models, and training educators on the use of AAC. This session will provide practical ideas that you will be able to use immediately in your speech and language therapy sessions, and all modalities of language, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing will be covered!
