Reading Like a Writer: Using Spanish Mentor Texts as herramientas for Writing - 28801
Mentor texts are powerful tools for teaching print concepts and writing in the Spanish literacy classroom. When studying outstanding, culturally diverse Spanish literature, students can learn what other authors do and try it in their writing. In this immersive session, participants will dive into the world of children's literature, examining texts not just as readers, but also as writers. Through close analysis of authors' techniques and crafts, attendees will learn how to support students incorporate these moves into their own writing and will equip them with practical tools to inspire and guide children towards becoming skilled and confident writers in the Spanish language.
