American Welding Society - AWS Teacher Certification Class - 27800
This Face-to-Face training will certify a teacher as a D1.1 Welder and D9.1 Welder through the American Welding Society. Once certified through this program, you will be able to train and certify students locally.
The class will consist of:
- Two quizzes using TEA Accountability items D1.1 and D9.1 welder test lesson plans.
- Weld test assessment for certification as a welder in D1.1 and D9.1 methods.
- Ability to certify students in TEA Accountability items AWS D1.1 and D9.1 if all quizzes/tests are passed.
Requirement: Bring your own welding helmet and gloves to the training. Dress appropriately to be in both a classroom and welding lab setting.

Prerequisite/Special Notes

Objectives
Certify teachers in welding with the intent that they will train and certify students in an Industry-Based Certification that resides on the TEA IBC list and can earn an accountability measure.
