Mathematics Achievement Academy: Problem Solving and Discourse, Grade 2 (Blended) - 27745

This session is a follow-up to the Mathematics Achievement Academy for Grade 2. In this blended learning opportunity, participants will attend a three-hour face-to-face session on Day 1, followed by an online component. They will then return for another three-hour virtual session via Zoom on Day 2. The content will take a deep dive into formative assessment strategies, proficient problem-solving, and facilitating student discourse around justifying their mathematical thinking. The online learning experiences will focus on evaluating and increasing student mastery through self-reflection and improved professional practice.

MUST HAVE ATTENDED AN ORIGINAL MATHEMATICS ACHIEVEMENT ACADEMY. Participants should bring their own laptop/device for use in the session. Available to teachers at campuses on the Region 11 List of Priority Campuses posted at https://tea.texas.gov/curriculum/academies
