Integrating the Cottage Acquisition Scales for Listening, Language, and Speech (CASLLS) into the Classroom or Therapy Settings: The Basics of Using the CASLLS Virtual - 36988

This workshop is designed for teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing, speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and administrators working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Presenters from the Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children will share the basics of using the Cottage Acquisition Scales for Listening, Language, and Speech (CASLLS) for language sampling, creating IEP goals, planning interventions, and integrating language throughout the curriculum. The CASLLS evaluation tool is specifically designed for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. This workshop is pending 6.0 LSLS CEU Hours.

Objectives
Participants will define the purpose/use of the CASLLS, analyze language samples, and plot data onto the CASLLS. Participants will examine the CASLLS to write appropriate IEP, short-term, and weekly language goals, as well as to practice strategies/techniques to elicit language in the classroom or therapy settings.
