The McKinney-Vento Course for Front Office Staff Online - 36910

Enhance your understanding of the McKinney-Vento Act with this self-paced online course designed specifically for front office staff. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: understand the purpose of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act; examine educational barriers and their impact on students experiencing homelessness; define homelessness under the McKinney-Vento Act; and recognize key indicators to identify students experiencing homelessness. Participants will also be able to identify and contact the school system's McKinney-Vento liaison to report and address suspected cases of student homelessness.

Objectives

Participants will identify one current practice to improve in order to reduce barriers for students experiencing homelessness.
