Strengthening Explicit Instruction in Dual Language Classrooms - 36670
In this professional development session, bilingual teachers and dual language instructional coaches will explore how the Science of Teaching Reading (STR) informs instructional decision-making within Bluebonnet Learning. Participants will examine key concepts of dual language and biliteracy, analyze lessons to identify elements of explicit instruction, and reflect on their understanding of STR.
Through facilitator modeling and lesson analysis, participants will practice making intentional instructional adjustments while maintaining fidelity to the curriculum to better meet students’ needs.

Objectives
Participants will practice making specific instructional decisions and adjustments to SLAR Bluebonnet Learning lessons, identifying elements of explicit instruction and justifying choices with Science of Reading principles during the session, after facilitator modeling and lesson analysis.
