Field Supervisor Observation - 35832

The TEA-Approved Field Supervisor Observation Training is designed to provide guidance and structure for the practices of instructional observations for all clinical teachers and for internships under an intern certificate or an additional internship. This training was developed to meet the requirements of Texas Administrative Code TAC 228.35.g. All EPP field supervisors who support clinical teachers or internship teachers on an internship or probationary teaching certificate must complete a TEA-approved field supervisor training.

Objectives
By the end of this session, field supervisors will know how to conduct effective observations by implementing various techniques and frameworks to assess and provide meaningful feedback to aspiring teachers through rubrics, data collection and assessment, reflective practices, and enhanced communication skills. Field supervisors will be able to recognize and respond to the diverse needs of students and teachers, and apply mentorship techniques to support teaching.
