Johnson County School Board Training - 35560
This session provides school board members with 8 hours of Level 3 board training credit. Boards attending with all members and the superintendent may opt to receive 5 hours of Level 3 credit and 3 hours of Team of 8 training, in accordance with 19 TAC §61.1(b). The day will include both whole-group presentations and engaging breakout sessions aligned to board roles and responsibilities, with a focus on governance best practices, fiscal oversight, legal compliance, and school safety. A keynote speaker will be featured during a provided lunch. Trustees will also fulfill the Legislative Update requirement outlined in Texas Education Code §11.159(b). For those who need it, an Evaluating and Improving Student Outcomes (EISO) track will be available to meet the requirement under 19 TAC §61.1(d)(1).
