Child Nutrition: FSMC Preparation for the 25 - 26 School Year - 35439
The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) will host in-person workshops for school districts that utilize a Food Services Management Company (FSMC). The training workshop will provide an in-depth overview of the contract management process, including solicitations and/or renewals, contract management, and contract monitoring. Attending this workshop is critical for the SFA representatives and those responsible for contract oversight. Each district is required to send one representative.
In the afternoon, TDA will have staff resources available to assist districts individually with the development of RFP documents for the 2026-2027 school term and to address any specific concerns and questions. To receive the best guidance and assistance, bring or can access your current contract, meal count data, revenue for the Child Nutrition fund, specialized specifications (if applicable), and any other provisions that you would like incorporated into your solicitation documents.
Because procurement requirements will be discussed, food service management companies are not allowed to register or attend.
