Understanding the Impact of Hearing and Vision on Early Childhood Development (for ECI of North Central Texas Personnel Only) Online - 34361
In this asynchronous, online course, ECI of North Central Texas Service Providers will be presented with basic information regarding appropriate services for children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing (DHH) and blind or visually impaired (BVI), ages birth to three years old, and their families. This session aligns with the following components of the TEA-required Special Education Self-Assessment: Numbers 1, 2, 4, 14, and 22.

Objectives
Participants will list the effects of a hearing difference and a visual impairment on children ages birth to three years old.
Participants will identify two reasons why it is important to include a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and a Teacher of the Visually Impaired when providing services to children who are DHH and BVI.
