Parent and Family Engagement, Module 1: ESSA PFE Requirements - 34261
ESSA Section 1116 outlines requirements for Parent and Family Engagement. This session is the first of four training modules related to these requirements. This module will provide an overview of each requirement, with detailed processes for each requirement to be covered in the remaining modules. This session will provide critical information for both district-level ESSA grants staff and campus leaders on Title I, Part A campuses.

Federal Program Directors/Coordinators, Central Office Administrators, Principals
Objectives
Participants will be able to analyze the key requirements of ESSA Section 1116 related to Parent and Family Engagement, evaluating at least three specific processes for implementation that will be explored in subsequent modules. Participants will demonstrate understanding through group discussions and activities, enabling them to effectively support the implementation of the Title I, Part A program by enhancing parent and family engagement activities.
