Integrating the Cottage Acquisition Scales for Listening, Language, and Speech (CASLLS) into the Classroom or Therapy Settings: The Basics of Using the CASLLS - 33451

This workshop is designed for teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing, speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and administrators working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Learners will understand the basics of using the Cottage Acquisition Scales for Listening, Language, and Speech (CASLLS) for language sampling, creating IEP goals, planning interventions, and integrating language throughout the curriculum. The CASLLS evaluation tool is specifically designed for use with students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. This workshop is pending 6.0 LSLS CEU Hours. This session aligns with Special Education Self-Assessment indicators 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 14, and 17.

Objectives
Participants will define the purpose/use of the CASLLS, analyze language samples and plot data onto the CASLLS. Participants will also examine CASLLS to select appropriate IEP goals, short-term goals, weekly goals for language, as well as acquire strategies/techniques to elicit language in a classroom or therapy setting.
