This face-to-face training will certify a teacher as a D1.1 Welder and D9.1 Welder through the American Welding Society. Once certified through this program, you will be able to train and certify students locally. The class will consist of: - AWS D1.1 Tack, AWS D9.1 Fillet and Groove, API 1104 Pipe Fillet IBCs - Implementing TEA IBCs, filling out and interpreting applicable documentation - Intro to SMAW, GMAW and OFC theory. - Intro to basic use of welding inspection tools. - Two quizzes using TEA Accountability items D1.1 and D9.1 welder test lesson plans. - Weld test assessment for certification as a welder in D1.1 and D9.1 methods. - Ability to certify students in TEA Accountability items AWS D1.1 and D9.1 if all quizzes/tests are passed. Requirement: Bring your own welding helmet and gloves to the training. Dress appropriately to be in both a classroom and welding lab setting.
