Understanding the Impact of Hearing and Vision on Early Childhood Development (for ECI of North Central Texas Personnel Only) - 33362

In this asynchronous, online course, ECI of North Central Texas Service Providers will be presented with basic information regarding appropriate services for children who are deaf/hard-of-hearing and visually impaired (ages birth to three years old) and their families. This session aligns with the following components of the TEA-required Special Education Self-Assessment: Numbers 1, 2, 4, 14, and 22.

Objectives
Understand the effects of a hearing difference on children ages birth to three years old. Understand the effects of a visual impairment on children ages birth to three years old. Understand the processes, documentation, and assessments required in order to provide services for AI and VI children ages birth to three years old. Understand the role of the TODHH and the TVI.
