Language Deprivation and Mental Health in Deaf Children: Impact on Functioning in the Educational Environment - 32236
Language deprivation impacts the social and cognitive development of deaf and hard-of-hearing children. Participants will gain an understanding of how language deprivation impacts students in academic settings and how school personnel can address the challenges of language deprivation and mental health issues in deaf and hard-of-hearing children. This workshop addresses Special Education Self-Assessment indicators 18, 19, and 23.
