This session will explore the possibilities of using authentic writing tasks in the classroom to build better writers. We will analyze the connections to the TEKS and a variety of strategies that teachers can use to implement authentic writing effectively. By incorporating authentic writing opportunities, teachers can help students develop essential communication skills they will need throughout their lives.
