ELPS: Talk-Tasks and Discourse in ELAR and Social Studies - 30162

Oracy, or the ability to engage in academic discourse, is one of the primary indicators of Emergent Bilingual students' success in content and language development. Creating Talk-Tasks for language arts and social studies allows teachers to break complex grade-level standards into comprehensible knowledge outlines grounded in high-leverage academic language. Help your Emergent Bilingual students master the high-leverage academic vocabulary inherent in the language arts and social studies TEKs, so they learn content and language simultaneously through meaningful, engaging Talk-Tasks!
