In this workshop, participants will gain an understanding of the relationship between grading, assessment, and mastery. We will dive into the research on best grading practices so that teachers and students can partner together to measure progress for all tasks and assignments. Participants will learn how to reduce ambiguity in their grading practices through the use of effective grading principals, how to plan for clear criteria, and what role students should play in their grades. Teachers will walk away with practical strategies and planning tools to enter into the new school year confidently about grading practices.
