Corn in the Classroom - Agriculture in Elementary Science - 29668
Corn in the Classroom K-5 curriculum, by Texas Corn Producers, uses real-life agricultural concepts to teach science. Many students are unaware of where their food and fiber come from, and these pilot-tested, TEKS-aligned lessons help fill that gap while meeting science needs. Lesson activities are available in traditional and online formats as well as in Spanish! In this free, hands-on workshop, educators will receive an introduction to the “why" behind Corn in the Classroom and participate in interactive lesson demonstrations. Participants will also receive a complimentary set of supplies to put these lessons into action in their own classrooms!
