TELPAS Success: Explicit Instruction for Vocabulary Development - 29379
TELPAS is not merely the accountability measure for our Emergent Bilingual (EBs) students. Success on TELPAS demonstrates that our EBs are genuinely mastering the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) and growing in ALL language modalities! Join us as we explore making content comprehensible through the explicit teaching of rigorous academic language that is directly aligned with the TEKS. We will also practice a variety of research-based best practices such as Total Physical Response, using Morphemes, Frayer Models, and Effective Interactive Word Walls as well as others! This is a face-to-face session and participants will earn 3 CPE credits.
