Co-Planning for Co-Teaching-Laying a Strong Foundation - 27755

This professional learning session is designed to provide teachers in co-teach settings the knowledge and skills they need to co-plan effectively and efficiently. Research has shown that co-planning is both the most important and most challenging component of coteaching (TEC, 2012). Therefore, this half-day session will focus on best practices that allow teachers to efficiently plan together, even with limited time. The success of co-teaching depends on two skilled professionals bringing their expertise to the table to enhance and elevate student learning. This requires both individuals to have, or be willing to develop, the skillset needed to create universally designed and differentiated lessons for an inclusive learning environment. We strongly recommend that co-teachers attend this virtual session together to amplify the cohesiveness and effectiveness of planning.
