Just the Facts, Ma'am: Discovering Nonfiction Books That Inspire, Engage & Tell a Great Story - 25957
Join Lex Anne Seifert, MLS, and Debra Marshall, MLS, Perma-Bound Sales Representatives and Nonfiction Advocates, on June 18, 2020, for a DAY OF NONFICTION COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT. During the morning session, you will be introduced to Melissa Stewart's 5 Types of Nonfiction. Examples and book talks of each type will be presented to help you evaluate your collection and select nonfiction that your students will want to read. During the second session, Debra will review the Sibert Committee's criteria for evaluating nonfiction for ALA's coveted Sibert Award. The mid-day hour will feature an AUTHOR PANEL of nonfiction authors. During the final session in the afternoon, we will review TLA's TOPAZ List. *There will be breaks between each one-hour session*
