How Families Can Help Students Prepare for Employment Success - 25873
Families play a critical role in helping youth with disabilities prepare for successful employment. This session will provide families with easy-to-use strategies to help youth explore careers and build the skills that employers are seeking. Topics include setting the expectation for employment, building soft skills, using personal networks to find work experience opportunities, and helping youth disclose their disability, if necessary. With the assistance of engaged families, youth can look forward to a life of successful employment.
