This session will investigate strategies that are designed to leverage literacy to promote mathematical understanding. Critical reading, writing, listening, speaking, and thinking all have a place and purpose in effective math instruction. From Notice & Wonder to Numberless Graphs, this session will build mathematical discourse using Math Literacy and higher-order thinking skills.
