Language and Communication Skills for Students Who Are Deaf/Hard of Hearing (REMOTE PARTICIPATION) - 24637
Participants will explore the essential elements of evaluating language and communication skills for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. This session will provide an opportunity to analyze students' language samples for the purpose of examining expressive language and considering primary communication mode. Examples of how to effectively document these skills within an IEP and an FIE will also be shared. An application for ASHA CEUs has been submitted and is awaiting approval. PLEASE NOTE: Remote participation will be accessible via Zoom, an online, electronic platform. Participants who choose to participate remotely will be responsible for using, maneuvering, and troubleshooting this platform independently.
