Helping Students Improve Their Self-Regulation: 75 Instructional Activities - 20859

Students need to be prepared with the skills that matter for success in life after high school. This virtual one-hour workshop is designed for middle and high school educators. Participants will explore and practice instructional activities from the book, "Teaching Self-Regulation: 75 Instructional Activities to Foster Independent, Proactive Students, Grades 6-12" (Gaumer Erickson & Noonan, 2022). Educators will be able to: - Describe the key components of self-regulation. - Assess student self-regulation knowledge and skill using curriculum-reference and performance-based assessment techniques. - Analyze self-regulation instructional activities and plan application to promote student's self-regulation within your course content or setting.

Prerequisite/Special Notes
Participants registering for this virtual session agree to develop an instructional plan to teach self-regulation and commit to attending the March 7, 2023, virtual extended learning opportunity. Participants who attend October 25 OR November 15, 2022, will receive a free copy of "Teaching Self-Regulation: 75 Instructional Activities."
