DESCRIPTION:The Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is an intensive, in-person, TWO-DAY (15-hour) workshop that teaches participants how to provide immediate suicide first-aid. Developed by LivingWorks, it equips caregivers and community members with the skills to intervene and help keep individuals safe from immediate risk. The focus is on recognizing when someone may be experiencing thoughts of suicide, intervening with skilled, compassionate, direct conversation, and working collaboratively to develop a "safe-for-now" plan with connections to further support. 
Both days must be attended IN FULL in order to receive credit.
