DESCRIPTION:Field Supervisor Coaching Training is the state training for those who will be supervising Advanced Degree Candidates (Principals, Superintendents, Counselors, Diagnosticians, Librarians). It is designed to provide guidelines and instruction for field supervisors who support candidates seeking certification in an area other than classroom teaching (e.g., principal, superintendent, counselor, etc.) and who are participating in practicum experiences through educator preparation programs (EPPs). Developed to meet the requirements of TAC 228.35 (h), this section requires that supervision of each candidate be conducted with structured guidance and ongoing, regular support from an experienced educator who has been trained as a field supervisor. ** This course is NOT for teaching candidate supervisors.
