DESCRIPTION:The Turbo Start curriculum is a nine-week, evidence-based dyslexia intervention designed to provide a jump start for newly identified students of all ages who need comprehensive dyslexia intervention while awaiting placement in an intervention group. Derived from the evidence-based dyslexia curriculum, Turbo Start provides foundational training in the five components of effective reading instruction, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. Each component is taught developmentally using a direct, systematic, cumulative, multi-sensory method of introduction and practice to meet the specific needs of newly identified students with dyslexia.
