DESCRIPTION:This training provides information to professionals working with high school students who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) about how to establish their own Jr. NAD chapter at their local high school. Junior NAD is a program of the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) that offers students who are DHH opportunities to develop leadership skills and demonstrate citizenship. Participants will learn how to start their own local chapter, identify possible activities a chapter can engage in, and collaborate with other professionals who have established their own Jr. NAD chapters.
