DESCRIPTION:The FBA-BIP process can provide a means to identify appropriate supports for students whose behavior is interfering with their education and social development.
A vital part of that process is selecting and effectively implementing behavioral supports and interventions that lead to successful outcomes. This training will provide an advanced overview of variables that can inform that process, including: 1) things to consider when selecting specific interventions across different circumstances, 2) common pitfalls and challenges in collecting meaningful data to determine how things are working, and 3) tips and tricks for how to modify program elements in complex situations. Participants will actively participate in case reviews and problem-solving across scenarios that represent challenging situations that require more multi-component, complex solutions.
