DESCRIPTION:This professional development session equips Elementary Reading Language Arts and Social Studies teachers with practical, evidence-based strategies to support Emergent Bilingual (EB) students. Grounded in the practices of Content-Based Language Instruction and science of learning principles, the session will demonstrate what high-quality Tier 1 instruction looks like when language and content supports are intentionally integrated into RLA and SS learning. Teachers will receive ready-to-use tools that strengthen both content understanding and language development. Participants will explore approaches that enhance instruction and foster language growth within any program model or setting, including Dual Language Immersion (DLI), Transitional Bilingual Education (TBE), and English as a Second Language (ESL).
