DESCRIPTION:This session will focus on dissecting the Individualized Education Program (IEP) present levels of academic and functional performance and utilizing the information gathered to develop meaningful and attainable goals for students with special needs. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the components of present levels, including academic achievements, functional skills, and areas of need.  In addition, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of baseline data. Through interactive discussions and practical exercises, participants will practice identifying the essential elements of a PLAAFP and using that information to develop appropriate observable and measurable goals that address the unique needs of each student.  This session is aligned with the IEP Content and Development component of the TEA-required self-assessment.
