DESCRIPTION:Description: The FBA-BIP process is complex, and creating a high-quality plan based on evidence-based procedures is an important part of supporting students with challenging behaviors that interfere with their education. This training will describe a tool (The TATE Rubric) school personnel can use to evaluate and improve the quality of their FBAs and BIPs. The training will provide an overview of what is included in a high-quality FBA-BIP, review the rubric in detail, and provide participants an opportunity to use the tool on real FBA-BIP documents. Finally, tips and recommendations will be made about how to revise documents based on rubric scores. 

This session is aligned with the BIP (Behavior Intervention Plan) component(s) of the TEA-required self-assessment and SPP Indicator Suspension and Expulsion Rates.
