DESCRIPTION:Foundations for Literacy (FFL) is a language- and experience-based literacy curriculum that has been researched and developed for young students who are deaf/hard-of-hearing. This curriculum is intended to be implemented by classroom Teachers of the Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing on a daily basis. The focus of this curriculum is to develop alphabetic knowledge, phonological awareness, vocabulary, language learning, and literacy skills (reading comprehension) in young children (Early Childhood through First Grade). Speech-Language pathologists and paraprofessionals can also assist with the implementation of this curriculum. Registration for this session is by application only.
